Linda’s Slaw!

July 4th calls for good slaw, but Linda’s slaw is great any time of the year! – Victorine

Linda’s Slaw Recipe

1e8bc3a86b9cc2df2bc8260b8e310075One (1) Head of Cabbage, chopped*

Two (2) Grated Carrots*

One (1) Red Pepper, chopped

One (1) Onion, chopped

Mix all ingredients and pour one cup of sugar over mixture. Chill one hour

Mix the following and bring to a boil:

2 Tablespoons Sugar                           1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard

1 Tablespoon Salt                               1 Tablespoon Celery Seed

¾ Cup Salad Oil                                  1 Cup Vinegar


Pour over slaw and refrigerate. Gets better with age.


*I use two large bags of prepared cabbage which have carrots included / / (256) 764-1153
